11.4-20.11 This was an Amsterdam-Paris-Amsterdam trip with new dining experiences and the familiar and repeated trips to museums. In Amsterdam the restaurants I've enjoyed over time include: Lucius, Casa di David, De Kas, Visaandeschelde, Zara's, Tempo Doeloe.... pubs/cafes: Cafe Luxembourg, Cafe de Sluyswacht, Café 'TLoosje, De Bekeerde Suster, Broodje Bert, Gartine, Mulder, Hoppe, Satellite Sports Cafe, Café Slijterij Oosterling, Café Papeneiland, Myrabelle....Amsterdam photos below from left: Window view from inside Mulder Pub and view from my room along Prinsengracht . Usually, while in Amsterdam, in early evening I go to a pub for a draught and, then, head to one of my spots for dining. The pubs I frequent more than others are Hoppe, where there's always a standing crowd outside and in, and hardly a time passes that I don't meet a new friend; Mulder, where the large side windows (above left) allow for a grand view of the constant tram traffic and bicycle flow of the park circle at the end of Vijzelgracht; Slijterij Oosterling with its location at the end of delightful Utrechsestraat, a street of shops, cafes and the number 4 tram line. My regular Amsterdam eateries are Lucius with its seafood fare and my server pals, Casa di David, to enjoy the Pizza con mozzarella di bufala e Pachini e ansjovis (mozzarella, tomato and basil plus anchovie) and Broodje Bert for its BLT and Coke lunch. I would say, mostly all my evening meals and a sometime lunch are accompanied with a decanter or bottle of house red and a basket of baguette pieces. And, I like desserts.
